Started working again. 'Nuff said.

I get some free time to update my blog, and happily decide to upload some much delayed pics... and photobucket closes for maintainence... bleh.

April 22 is Earth Day!

Earth Day was founded by Wisconsin U.S. Senator, Gaylord Nelson, in 1970. The first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species acts. In 1990, Earth Day celebrations spread world wide to become the huge, important event it is today.

Happy Earth Day everyone!

We started off pretty late, mainly due to my being unable to leave the house any earlier. There was renovation work going on, so I had to be a good boy and stay back till my parents got home.

It was all fairly last minute, so... only four people. Other than me, there was:

Adz

Mars

and

Roger

The theme songs of the day were the Blue Oyster Bar's El Bimbo and Pencinta Wanita. You'd have to be there to get the joke... or understand Roger's Kumbaya Friends etc!

First beach we went to lay down a bumpy, deserted road



where despite his best efforts, Adz couldn't duplicate Roger's old feat of maiming this guy:



The second beach we went to was the one at Karambunai Lagoon. It was there that Marissa walked tall... as she searched for little kids...




Mars was so horrifed at such childish behaviour that we decided to take her to another beach to relax...




The third beach we went to was at Nexus Karambunai.

The next stop, and last beach was near Odec

And it was there that we finally ventured into the waves...

And just in case I don't get back to this trip in futre backdated posts, the beach bumming (though not the day) ended with a nice sunset...




Note: I'll try to add on to this trip by mentioning Adz's Stick Hers, Roger's Kumbaya Friends, and Mar's Protection which she supplied to a guy that night... *evil grin*

My resolutions not withstanding, I'm gonna slow down on the blogging for a bit. 

Ok, exams are over, work hasn't started, not travelling for a couple of days

So, to live up to my promise heres the first of several back dated entries:

The trip to Kundasang was suppose to start early in the morning, Adrian was supposed to come pick me and Adz up and we'd fetch Jade. Then we'd meet Roger at King Fisher and pick up Lasia. We'd a couple places empty, but no time to find people to fill 'em up.

So... plan was to leave early... at 815 Adz calls me up to ask if Adrian was there yet. I'd been expecting the delay to be caused by him picking Adz up first. So... try calling Adrian... and no one answers the phone.

I try calling his girlfriend... maybe she'd know where he was...

The conversation went something like this:

Rum: Good morning
Jade: Huh?...
*brief pause*
Rum: This is Rum...
*another pause*
Jade: Oh...
Rum: Umm... we ARE going to Kundasang today right?
Jade: Right....
Rum: Would you happen to know how I could get in touch with Adrian? Have his house phone no maybe?
Jade: Yes....
*longer pause*
Rum: May I please HAVE the number?
Jade: Yes....
*even longer pause*
Rum: *speaking slowly* What is Adrian's home number?
Jade: XXXXXX
Rum: Tha...*beep beep beep*

Fine, so I call his house (I haven't used his home number since high school! Not since we got cellphones) and talk to his mom... Turns out he's in the shower. (Lama juga nak mandi... Dun ask why so long)

Fifteen mins later, about 8.40 I call his cell, and he says he's on his way. He'll get me then we'll pick Adz up. Ok.... I call Adz to tell him, and he asks if Roger is up. I assure him Rodge is a big boy now, 25 years old, can surely be trusted to meet us for breakfast....He insists I check. So I call up Roger... and he's asleep. Wake him up and arrange for him to meet us at Indah Permai.

Nevermind, Adrian arrives, gets me, we pick Adz up and go to Jade's house. And wait for her to come out... and wait... and wait... and wait...

After about half an hour an obviously hung over girl stumbles out the house and into the car. Explanation from her... Adrian took her to Razz last night and got her drunk... hmmmm..... nvm, both are adults... *evil leer* It was then that I found out that Jade had thought ADRIAN called her earlier... as a wake up call. Yeah, right, to ask for his own phone number huh? She gets into the car and collapses into sleep.


We go IP, meet Roger and have a bite to eat... which extends and extends since we're sitting around cracking jokes... EARLY DEPARTURE right? 10.30, Lasia calls Adz up and asks where the hell he is... We start rushing, stopping by Giant just long enough to pack a couple of coolers with drinks and stock up with bags of snacks in case we faint from hunger on the long ardourous trip to the foot of Mount Kinabalu.

Once we got Lasia, we took off on a much delayed trip... but I'm too lazy to give you guys the details. Anyways, a picture is worth a thousand words right? so here are thousands and thousands of words!
